Walking Trail. March 27
When I walk around my neighborhood, I always follow the same route. I travel right at the corner, past the community pool and onto the sidewalk until I reach the house with the two black cats. Then my home is just a few houses down. This has been my set pace and I know it well. It's about 3/4ths of a mile and I take that same walking path about six times a week.
One day, I was out walking, and I saw my next door neighbor, only he was jogging towards me. He pointed at me and jokingly said, "Hey. You're going the wrong way" as he passed me, moving in the opposite direction. Clearly, his walking path is different than mine.
But no matter which path we chose, we still have the same objective: to stay active, to be fit and to enjoy the nice weather.
I want to encourage you to be open-minded. Let's not be critical or judgmental about how others are running - or, in my case, walking - their race. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. Don't point and say, "You're doing it wrong." We're reaching the same destinations, we're just going about it in different ways.
Set your own path and be confident in the way it leads. And be mindful of others on the trail. They are fulfilling their personal dreams and goals, same as you. Be mindful, be patient, be loving and be understanding as we all share the road – from all different walks of life - together.
If you need prayer for anything, let me know. I would love to pray for you!
