His work focuses on race, literature, history, rhetorics & performance. Since the rise of Hip-Hop in the early 1980s, critics of Rap sought to tie the music to violent crime. He joins Tavis to break down how Rap is oftentimes used as a scapegoat for many issues, especially in recent mass shootings.
