Bees is done. I think it is a good book.

Alas, a family member who I love dearly, will literally cut off contact with me if I publish it.

I offered to a put a trigger warning on it. Sexual assault is implied and the trauma is carried through in two characters.

This was unacceptable to her.

I don't understand, I really don't. I think any topic is fair game in a book, she disagrees.

So I'm not publishing it. This kills me. It took two years or more to write it and I think it's good, but I love her too much to lose her.

Problem is, my drive to write my next book is diminished. I want to dive into it, but I also don't want to run into this again, because I don't know what is off limits to her sensibilities.

I'm playing with Vella, with two episodic series, but a longer work... sigh.
