There is so much to a book! I know you all know that, because you're reading this . You're all fans of books. Reading them that is, but writing one! That is a very different thing . Working out the story, researching the characters and their backgrounds . Imagining the adventures that they all have and relationships they all form on the way. That is all the fun bit. Getting others to read the book and share in the adventures is another, totally different, thing. That's where I am at the moment. The book 'Blessing' author: Brian J Twiddy will be published on September the 1st.
I have joined Goodreads as an author and been to my local Bookshop to set up a book signing spot for the launch, and keep putting it out on Twitter. Hopefully my friends on Twitter will pass it on along with the Goodreads website. It has been placed on various bookstores' websites in order to pre-order. Hatchards, Waterstones, Blackwell's, Foyles and Amazon. I have set up an Author website at http://www.brianjtwiddy.com so that anyone can easily link to the pre order sites and send me any messages, comments and reviews that they feel inclined to do. As we get nearer to publishing date, I will add progress information and any other avenues that we are trying.
Writing is only the half of it and is difficult in isolation. I have had help and encouragement from friends and it turns out that I am going to need a lot more help negotiating the ' Getting it out there' bit.
