Interview: Author Joan Aubele
Author Joan Aubele exclaims, “no matter the obstacle, God will always have my back!” I ask this Christian Author… “What’s In Your Bag?”
Me: I see your book titles, “Hearts Ablaze: The Ripples We Create” and “The Dance: A Story of Love, Faith and Survival.” Tell me about your personal Memoirs.
Joan: These simple reads offer hope and quite simply a person’s desire to forge a deeper relationship with our Lord. I share the true miracle that I’ve experienced in my own life, the importance of the power of prayer, and the message that we should in fact live our lives for one another! I’ve been repeatedly told, it’s as though I’m telling the stories as we sat around the kitchen table, sipping a cup of tea!
Me: I love the personalized J Bag! How cute!
Joan: This bag was gifted to me by my dear friend and editor, Edna Roberts. I bring this filled gem to every Author event I participate in. I stuff it with my many book-signing supplies!
Me: I see a rose on the bottom and a stone placed in-between your books. Is there a significance to these two items?
Joan: The rose and stone that are pictured are direct representations of each of my books. (I always gift them when I autograph.) The rose that goes with “The Dance” stands for the strength and courage we possess. The stone that is gifted with “Hearts Ablaze” is either used to create a physical ripple or to remind us of the many ripples we create.
Me: I love all of the items in your bag! They are very unique!
Joan: I use the journal to scribble notes, ideas, and the scriptures that move my heart, the motivational magnet is from another dear friend, and the beautiful gold pennant from my daughter all reaffirm my desire to write. The statue of Our Lady, the daily prayer journal, and “Broken Mary” (a Dynamic Catholic Book) keep me focused.
