There are two book series that really made me want to be a writer and they are the only books that I have ever reread.

The first series is The Secret Circle by L.J. Smith. It is a ya series about witches, magic and being s teenager! I was first introduced to this series after watching the TV show based on the books. It was a fantastic show that ended after only one season. Not Cool! Especially because it ended on such a great cliffhanger!!!!!

But reading that series made me think, “Hey, I could do this!” I mean, I wanted to be one of those kids in the coven, working on their magic and using it to fight dangerous adventures. It’s a fun read that I cannot wait to share with my daughter one day!

The next series is the entire Santangelo Saga by Jackie Collins. I believe there are ten books in all. I first read Wild Child which was one of the later books in the saga after picking it up at a grocery store. I read it. Loved it. An had to read more. That’s when I found out about the entire saga and couldn’t order the first book, Chances, fast enough.

Chances by Jackie Collins made me start to pursue being an author. That book blew my mind with all of the different perspectives and how everything intertwined. I highly recommend that book if you want a phenomenal read with a powerful woman as the main character.

Those are two book series I love and would recommend to anyone! Although, I won’t let you borrow my copies because I had lent my sister Chances and it was returned with the cover torn off…
