ABOUT PIECES OF YOU:
As we live, we leave pieces of ourselves behind … at the first place we called home, in that cool September air with our high school crush, at that job in that new city, in the heart of a stranger. And at times, we are acutely aware of those pieces we are leaving behind. Whether their loss is accompanied by pain or bliss, we leave some pieces willingly. But then, there are also times when we do not. There are those times when pieces of ourselves will be left behind that we neither willed nor wished to leave behind.
And this is life.
