Kate this is such a beautiful post! America would be a great nation if people could seek and settle into this grateful contentment. To be hard workers and to be happy with and find "enough." So well said. I am working on reading "Your Money or Your Life" and man am I dragggggging through it. It is so dense, however I believe they are trying to help people arrive at what you write here. I like your version much better, to be honest!Keep writing!

(heart emoji) and yes, amen to the healing as you work around the house.

This was just what I needed this morning. I have enough. It took me awhile to realize it, but about 10 years ago it finally sank in. My mantra was "Give me gratitude or give me debt" which got me through some lean times, but kept me debt free and content. Everything in my life is not rosy, but I manage the joy and the pain and it is enough. I am grateful for each day and what it brings. I am enjoying your youtube channel chats. One of my sons is Bengali, so I relate to your family! He has also passed as many other ethnicities!
It's wonderful to pass for as many cultures or ethnicities as possible. Lucky for them to not just be blond, that's all. Of course, I could pass for German, Swedish, or Danish.I don't mind being broke if I'm doing what I love and still have good food and coffee.
Love this post. Paints a vivid picture. So true! Coffee, a cute doggy etc... Life is good! I just went to my local library inspired by the books you always share on YouTube. I haven't been to the library in at least 20 years. It was so fun to walk out with physical books. I have a kindle, but I never use it. I think I am going to enjoy reading this way. I am way behind on the reading challenge. Go 1970s lol! Cheers! :)
