When I last visited Ireland in May 2023, we visited the Kerry Bog Village. I had seen the village at Bunratty Castle in March of 2002, but it wasn’t open this time.

Research by viewing an authentic cottage was for historical authenticity. We can view photos of everything and everywhere on the internet now, and I love that, but stepping inside of a building can’t be beat. All one’s senses notice more detail to include in a story.
