I put the day together 
like a puzzle but leave it
out of the box so she can help 
me put the pieces together. 

The picture becomes clearer 
and clearer 
as the sections rally together to reveal 
themselves to us 
as if cheering us on. 

Just a little while longer 
& we’ll be together, snapped 
into place. We seem closer from this 
view from above. It’s not so far 
after all 

locked into each other.
