Everyone Starts Somewhere

Everyone who has ever been great at something had to start at the beginning at some point. My love for reading began in grade school, the thrill of mystery novels and true crime following as I got older. Pursuing English in college, a definitive stamp on the idea that this was indeed my dream.
I wrote my first “novel” if you will during that time (it’s an unedited mess of completely not my writing style, or genre, or taste, but yes it exists). It took years after that for me to become solid in the person I am, and to begin writing for her. It was only when I stopped writing what I thought people wanted to read (more on this in the future) and began writing for me, that everything clicked.
The Broken Wife, is, in my opinion, my debut novel as an author. Completing it was the first time, in all my firsts that I ever truly felt like an actual author, and the feeling has been incredible. With that first has come many more, and now as I sit here typing my first-ever blog entry, I hope you join me on the journey.
Web design is another first I am experiencing, and to be frank, it’s not one I am partial to, but they say all authors who want to be taken seriously must have a website, so damn it if I’m not here trying. That’s what I want you all to know in this first post. Dreams are a funny thing, but they can never be reached without effort. So here I am, starting and encouraging you to do the same. Follow your passions, people. We only get one life, and it’s our job to completely live the hell out of it.
