Background: Your journey as a writer and what inspired you to write.
I grew up writing poetry. I did it because it made me feel good, not because I dreamt of being a writer. However, less than a decade ago, I realized I wanted to try writing a book. It was the crappiest book I ever read, but I was damn proud of it.
No, it’s not for sale, but it sits as a reminder that I had to begin somewhere. I stared at that book for nearly two years before I decided I wanted to write. I’m a thinker; the person who needs to know I made the right decision before committing to it. And a few years later, here I am.
