SUMMATION: A workplace romance dramedy about the budding romance between a CEO and a secretary.

QUIP: An ABSOLUTE LOVE!!! This one started off with a little bit of uncertainty in the direction it was leading via episode 1 but that did NOT last long via the duration of episode 1. I was hooked line and sinker (or however that phrase goes) after my initial uncertainty and was given a show that reminded me about WHY I fell in love with K-dramas to begin with. This series took the old-school office romance trope between a CEO and their secretary, and flipped it! 

The intro soundtrack song was a dang vibe and is one that will be stuck in my mind. As for the story, we have a grown, as I'm calling it, romance K-drama where we have two well-established adults with active lives. One an adoring single parent who works in the corporate work and is a dedicated ace at what he does, and another a bad-arse CEO boss lady with a heart of gold. These two are connected in ways that they don't even know and come across each other through means that are fated. However...the writers here are NOT about to weigh you down with apparent tropes...unless they want to, and when they do...they expertly maneuver it and smooth it out where it doesn't feel outlandish. This is why I enjoyed this. The writers were ace. They knew how to weave comedy in this show, and later drama (and family drama) in fine interconnecting ways that made this show a joy and made this series not feel amateurish.

There are moments in this series where I wish bullies were dealt with harsher, however, I get it, and it's just a me thing. It didn't really take away from the series at all, mainly because things like 'k-tropes' that we're used to, were nicely reframed (...and as I said above, it's about time!) and characters were giving so much love and general character growth.

So, with that, this is one series that I will miss, and almost wish that it was a 'tiny bit' longer and yes...my sappy behind had all the tears.

In the words of "Savanna, that's a good man!" watch this K-drama.
