Use Tarot to Interpret Your Dreams

So, can you use tarot to interpret your dreams? Yes. However, you need to be careful. Why? Because just like a dream symbol’s meaning, tarot meanings can differ depending on who is interpreting the cards. And denial can get in the way.

The following excerpt is from my eighth book, Dream Interpretation for the Mystical Soul.

Sally dreams about a man she just met at a business meeting. He bends down on one knee and pulls out an engagement ring.

Shocked and half asleep, Sally whips out her tarot cards, shuffles, and pulls out the Lovers card. If Sally is just learning tarot, she might think, oh my God, I’m getting married! Or that this man is interested in her as a lover. Although if she is a seasoned tarot practitioner, Sally will realize that the Lovers card is about many types of partnerships, and this could be about business.

Sally’s feelings in the dream are clues to help clarify the Lovers card. When Sally looks at the card, she notices how the man and woman are naked. She thinks back to the dream and ponders how uncomfortable she was when he got down on his knees. The dream’s meaning becomes clearer to Sally not to reveal anything about her work project. Perhaps he wants to take credit for her hard work?

Yet if Sally felt good about this man pulling out the ring, the meaning might be to proceed with this partnership in business or romance.

If you are just reading the name of the card or even using the guidebook, you would take the Lovers card as an actual romance. The Lovers card has more meaning than just a sexual love relationship.

Sure, it is about partnership, but a healthy relationship. It involves being honest, communication, trust, compassion, and all the things involved in a perfect union. It’s also about your issues that you need to work on in order to have a good relationship with another.

Think about it, the dream and the Lovers card need you to go deep within yourself to discover the meaning.

Denial

I always give two or more interpretations when I do an in-depth dream interpretation by email. The reason I do this is that a dream can have more than one meaning, and I want my clients to choose the one they most vibe with. Because I’m psychic, I often know which one is the right one or sometimes it’s all of them. Sadly, a few will go into denial and choose the most positive interpretation.

If Sally desires a relationship more than anything else, or is afraid to be alone. Then she will go into denial, thinking it is her soulmate while disregarding her uncomfortable feeling in the dream.

Emotions

Thankfully, Sally paid attention to her feelings to discover the correct meaning of the dream.

Your emotions in a dream can give symbols, actions, and characters different messages. Again, if Sally was happy in the dream, it would have been a positive dream. If Sally was angry, this man could have represented an ex or someone/something at work she has anger toward.

The same is true with the Lovers card. If you have been single for a long time, then the card can bring up a feeling of yay! If you are going through a terrible divorce, the card could stir up negative emotions.

Add Another Card

Many of you usually use more than one card. Add just one more card, the dream’s meaning will change. For example, watch out if you got the Devil card! Did you get the Two of Cups? That’s a better sign.

Add more cards or do a tarot spread. Whoa, think of all the meanings!

Final Thoughts on to Use Tarot to Interpret Your Dreams

Please note that I’m not saying not to use tarot for dream interpretation. It could help you find a clearer picture of what your dream means. Then again, it could make things more complicated.

What’s important is using tarot cards to go deeper within to discover the message of your dream. My hope is you will go beyond the dream’s meaning to heal obstacles and make positive changes in your life!
