Catching Up
I am not very good at this blog thing. When I started it, part of me planned on writing updates every week. Ha!
In reality, I find the *actual writing* part of being a writer my favorite part, which leaves little time for the blogging side of things. To be clear, A LOT has been happening; I just haven't been posting about it with the frequency I would like.
For that reason, this update is my attempt at playing catch-up.
Debut novel! My novel, Tapestry, has been accepted by Baynam Books and is slated for release on April 18th, 2026. I have put so much work into this project, but I still have a way to go. The publisher has given me the green light to produce both a tabletop role-playing game and a soundtrack that will be released alongside the novel. ...It's a lot.
Podcasts! I've been featured on some wonderful podcasts lately, with plans to do many more. Details about those can be found on the "Interviews" page of my website. (www.andrew-akers.com)
SFWA membership! That's right, I am now a full member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association. This is a huge step in my writing journey, and I am thrilled to be included among the very talented writers they have boasted as members.
Alone, any of these things is huge. Together, it's a promising sign for my writing career.
With all of that in mind, I end this post with a huge thank you for the support of my readers. I could not do this without you.
