The players strain, stretch and, above all, slide. There are intense emotions on the court and in the stands, which are more and more packed unless you’re talking about the Philippe Chatrier Court during the lunch window.
This year, it was all capped by a pair of memorable singles finals. The first was low in consistency but high in drama with Coco Gauff defeating a combustible Aryna Sabalenka in the wind. The second was one of the most extraordinary matches ever played with Carlos Alcaraz shrugging off three championship points and a two-set deficit to reel in Jannik Sinner.
