Yesterday the Society of Women Writers and Journalists gathered at the BMA for our summer tea. This was a new – and very splendid – venue for us. Liz Moseley from Good Housekeeping gave a fascinating talk about the history of the magazine followed by a very interesting Q and A session.

I was thrilled to be announced as the winner of the recent ‘Winner Takes All’ competition and the following photos of Viv Brown awarding me the certificate were taken by fellow SWWJ member, Karen Storey.

Altogether an unforgettable day, not least because of the sweltering heat in central London! Many thanks to the SWWJ committee for making the afternoon run like clockwork. Your efforts were very much appreciated by us all.
