Age

When I was a lot younger, more than half my age, I would love an age gap romance novel to start with an 18 year old girl and 23 year old guy. The idea thrilled me and I would internally swoon. But recently whilst busy reorganizing my bookshelf, I came across a few of these books and I actually found it upsetting. 😅 Not certain why, since they are consenting adults but it really upset me at the idea of this 18 year old girl dating this really experienced man.

Which led me to a conclusion that as we grow older we often do change and so does our thought processes as well as our tolerance level.

Now I am not judging, if you like that kind of thing, as I wrote a romance book about similar scenarios 5 years ago. But I find in my mid thirties it just doesn’t do it for me any longer.

Or maybe it could be the fact that my eldest daughter would be 18 in just a few way too short years from now.

Let me know what’s your verdict.

On to other news, I was having a look at my books, and I decided I will be publishing the following this year

The Satan Sniper’s Motorcycle Club series book 7 (Killer and Sienna’s final story)You, me and everyone elseOh, how you sway me House Of Lies and Legions (Maybe)

As for dates, I will confirm as I add them on pre-orders.

The Short story for this week is “Fishing for compliments”

Blurb –

Lyle Adam’s can never catch a break. For years all he wanted was a simpleton life:- Meet a woman he can tolerate for longer than thirty minutes, have a couple of kids and maybe, just maybe open a seafood restaurant. But apart from the restaurant, at forty he still can’t seem to catch him a wife.

Charlie Horton has one goal—Get a job. After three years in a way over priced University abroad she is one step from losing her apartment. Strapped for cash, she takes a part-time job at a seafood restaurant owned by her brother’s best friend. 👌

That is all. You guys can wait for the rest.

If you read any of my books you would know the ending isn’t guaranteed to end in a HEA but I will make it one hell of a short story nonetheless.

Picture of the bookshelf I’m busy with.
