A man told Ama that he was able to tap into people’s intuitive abilities. The man was boasting. Ama knew because he interrupted Ama’s story to interject his important anecdote, which was that he was important. Ama listened. Then, when he was finished telling her how special he was, Ama said to him, You are inside The Model. Somehow, you are operating from control in what you just said. Then Ama said, “Either you were boasting, telling, proving, or withholding. Can you see it? The man nodded in acknowledgement, and with a small bit of shame.
Then Ama said to the man, “You cannot turn on somebody’s intuition; nobody does but themselves. What you did do is get these people to trust themselves and therefore their intuition.” The man could see it now, he agreed, and his face told the story that he needed some time to sort through fully what Ama shared.
Ama was surprised he was willing to see it. It helped her know what she could see for so long that others were able and willing to see, even within themselves. It told her others wanted a true connection more than to be right. That deeply inspired Ama.
