New and Upcoming Music

Here are six new and upcoming albums that you might be interested in and a description of each:

The Still Point Vol. II – Sandra McCracken and Ben Shive
This is the second EP that Sandra McCracken and Ben Shive have released. The songs were born in quiet moments – piano, strings, stillness, and words to help the listener breathe. The songs were written to help the listener slow down and remember what matters most. The EP was produced by Ben Shive.

Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years – John Fogerty
This new project features newly recorded versions of 20 of Creedence Clearwater Revival classic songs by their lead singer and songwriter John Fogerty. The album marks Fogerty’s 80th birthday, and comes after he won a long legal batter over the songs’ publishing rights two years ago. The project includes his son Shane and Tyler Fogerty.

Song of the Saints – Phil Wickham
Phil Wickham will release his latest album Song of the Saints on September 12. A number of songs have already been released from the album – “The King is in the Room”, “Homesick for Heaven”, “Song of the Saints”, “What an Awesome God”, and “So So Good”.

Far Country – Ellie Holcomb
Ellie Holcomb will release her fourth studio album, Far Country, on September 12. This is a collection of songs born from grief, longing, and the steadfast love of God. Exploring the tension between beauty and brokenness, these melodies remind us that love always calls us home, even in the far country. A number of songs have already been released from the album – “The Whole Thing”, “Far Country”, “Give Me Your Hand”, and “Hope’s Gonna Find You”.

The King is Still the King – Chris Tomlin
Chris Tomlin will release his new album The King is Still the King on September 26. He stated “If I could pick one word to describe this album, it would be celebration. Scripture talks so often about creation praising God – rivers clap their hands and mountains sing. I wanted to bring that into the album using the sounds God created – wind, thunder, rain, waves and birds. This record is full of sounds that celebrate who God is. Not just in lyrics, but in how it feels. My hope is the whole record brings joy and life – lifting people up in their spirit.” Released in advance of the album are “The First Hymn”, “Doesn’t He”, and “How Good It Is”.

Life & Breath – Matt Redman
Matt Redman will release his new album Life & Breath on October 3. This will be his first ‘live-studio’ album as he highlights the heart of live worship in an intimate studio setting. He has released one song from the album to date, “Let Me See Jesus/Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” featuring Charity Gayle.
