Aliens vs. Aliens with Humanity at Stake! (Plus a Free BDSM story, not to mention a chance to win a free audiobook.)
Dear Reader --
Yep, it’s Angela Knight. And I have a new freesmut story for y’all, plus a shot to win one of three audiobook. I know it’sbeen a minute, but I hope this will help make it up to you.
So Fall is here, and I'm in betweenbooks. Which means I'm doing lots of art, brainstorming my next novella, anddrinking lots and lots of Starbucks iced chai lattes.
That is, when I'm not taking care ofmy 86-year-old bedridden mom. When life becomes hard, reading – and writing –romance novels can be a great escape. I love watching women win againstoverwhelming odds. That can be really comforting sometimes. (Especially whenthey get lots of great sex with handsome warriors.)
So during breaks in my chaoticpersonal life, I've been writing InvisibleMonsters, a novel about Mothership, a giantalien AI starship fighting to save present-day Earth. Which is why she created400 wildly sexy genetically engineered Rangers.
The book's heroine is Diana Newman, who was rescued from torturers in the first book of the series, Wildcard. Now Diana has become one of Mothership's Rangers, but she's still dealing with PTSD and adjusting to Cyberpunk, the QuantumArtificial Intelligence implanted in her brain.
I've also got a free smexy ebook foryou to express my appreciation for your years of patience. The story is aprequel for Invisible Monsters that occurs during Wildcard as Ian andhis team blow off steam at The O Club, where Mothership's Rangers do all kindsof kinky BDSM stuff. DOWNLOAD THE O CLUB. It will ask for your email address, which will add you to my mailing list.
The free audiobook information isbelow.

About Invisible Monsters
Cantwo Rangers find love when they’re haunted by invisible monsters -- inside andout?
Earthcivilians are obsessed with selfies and social media, but my life revolvesaround alien starships, superhuman strength, and A.I. implants. Too bad none ofit helped when I was captured and tortured. Now I crave revenge, but as agenetically engineered Ranger, I must obey Mothership’s rules: protecthumanity. Never kill.
Whenanother alien ship sends monsters to invade Earth, Mothership’s Rangers muststop them. My new Ranger teammate is everything I shouldn’t crave: handsome, skilled, and haunted by his own dark past. He helped rescue me from torture, but it cost him his entire team. Now I’m the mess he’s got to clean up.
Battlinginvisible monsters may be the death of us, but our mutual attraction isundeniable. Can we stop an alien invasion despite our dangerous chemistry?
Here’sa taste:
I stared at the screen, watching theEarth grow larger as our transport raced toward it. Even after two months asone of Mothership’s Rangers, the sight reminded me how strange my newlife had become. Down there, people were obsessed with selfies, celebrities, and social media. I’d plunged into a world of giant alien starships, AI brainimplants, and super-strength.
And worse.
An image flashed through my head --the sadistic grin on Roger Bannon’s face as he leaned in, the surgical drillwhining as it spun. I’d fought not to scream as the drill bit in.
Roger loved it when I screamed.
I shoved away the memory, hard. If Iwasn’t careful, that thin face with those pale, rabid eyes would startrunning through my head on an OCD loop. “I should have killed you when I hadthe chance,” I muttered.
Next to me, Ian Cartwright turned togive me a narrow stare. “What did you say?”
Damnit, Diana, you’re not supposed tocreep out your battle buddy.“Bad memories.”
His expression softened, ice-blue eyesgoing a little less chilly. “I can imagine.”
No, you really can’t. I didn’t say it aloud. Cartwrightalready thought I was a human hand grenade just waiting for somebody to pull mypin. The team didn’t need that kind of distrust, especially in the middle of anop…
He studied me thoughtfully. Rangerswere universally attractive -- Mothership’s genetic engineering at work-- but Ian was even more gorgeous than the typical agent. His face wasintensely masculine, all high cheekbones and square jaw, his nose aquiline, hismouth wide, with a lower lip I longed to nibble. He wore his sable hair in asevere style that made him look even harder, sexier, but it was his eyes thatpulled me in. An icy blue, they were ringed and rayed in a rich cobalt, watchful and cool. People tend to dismiss a man that pretty, but Cartwright wasalso six-five and built like an NFL defensive lineman. As one of Mothership’sRangers, he was even more dangerous than he looked...
“Let’sjust… start over, okay?” I said. “The point is getting Aiden and his family tosafety.”
Hisnod was tight and controlled, like everything else about the man. “Works forme.”

All you have to do email me at jwoodcock2002@gmail.com (Cut that extra space) and let me know you’d like one. The firstthree to reply get the downloads. Personally, I love the hell out of audiobooks, especially when I’m doing something like folding clothes, cleaning, takingwalks, etc. I especially love long walks in the fall while listening toaudiobooks. When you’re struggling with stress or depression, walks helpregulate your mood by burning off adrenalin. Considering how stressful theholidays can be, that’s a real plus.

I hope you have a fabulous holidayseason with lots of great food, eaten with the people you love.
