Closing The Year With Two New Books
There’s nothing like the feeling that comes with accomplishing your goal, especially when its a goal you’ve been working towards for a long time. I’m happy to announce I will release two new books before the end of the year: one this month and another next month.
October: Valentine R Book Three
The grand finale to the Valentine R series will be available this week. This book, along with the others in the R series, is part of my new plan to release my books in paperback, ebook and now, hardcover form. I ordered my author’s proof copy in the form of a hardcover and I’m pleased with the results. I’m waiting for approval from KDP, and once I have it all versions of this book will be for sale.
What’s going to happen in this final Valentine book? Let’s start with the cover: you may have noticed Val is missing from the image featured. This time, its her cousin Veronica, who has been an important part of the series from the very beginning. And she’s just as important in this final book.
The Valentine R series brings all of the other series together and concludes everyone’s stories. Val’s struggle against the Syndicate. Lucia’s search for redemption and peace. Allan, Lola and Mac’s need to lead new lives. Vincent’s desire to keep his girls safe and give them a chance to live normal lives. Jo’s closure in terms of her relationship with Kelly McCormick. Edwin Faulkner and Kelly McCormick’s plans for the Syndicate. Some endings will be quiet and others will be violent. In the end I believe readers will be pleased.
November: Barrin HeightsYeah, I know what you’re probably thinking: didn’t you start writing this book like four years ago? I had to look back at my notes and I started the draft in April of 2021. This was a story I just couldn’t put together in a way that satisfied me. I put it on hold until I was ready to work on it. I picked it up here and there, but I wasn’t able to sit down and focus on it until recently. I’m glad it’s finally finished.
This urban paranormal story was inspired by Get Out and The Stepford Wives. I wanted to place ordinary people in an environment where there are clearly strict rules that must be followed, and there are consequences to not following those rules. I also wanted the things they encountered to seem unnerving to them but normal to everyone else.

I think this book turned out well and I hope everyone who reads it agrees with me. Sorry for the long wait!
My author’s proof of Valentine R Book Three arrived over the weekend, and I’ll be looking for my proof of Barrin Heights to come in the mail. For any of you curious self-publishers out there, this is what a proof from Amazon’s KDP looks like, and this is a hardcover copy.
I’ll keep you posted.
