Good Start

Defending The Eagle is off to a good start. It hit a few snags along the publishing process and was released almost eight months beyond what I had expected. I was not entirely happy with the first new publisher and ended up moving on with Spines.
The delay was actually a blessing in disguise. My Uncle, a WWII veteran in the Marines, passed away during the process. I had an individual in the book that I referred to by his position as the Brigade Executive Officer. The delay allowed me to go back in and write the story using my uncle's name and that is how Lieutenant Colonel Kasper came to be.
I think it has become a very fitting tribute to my uncle and I hope he is looking down and smiling. May God bless him and all our veterans who have paid the ultimate price in service to our country.
