In the last few months I have had the chance to read several books about the WWII time period. I have always found this time to be fascinating. A time of global war, a time where many people suffered. Through this time hero’s were forged, and people came together to accomplish the impossible. The reality of the war, and what was at stake forced more unity, and increases in industry than was thought possible. Whenever we are forced to change, people can rise to the moment, and stretch beyond what they think is possible. Our capacity, and ceiling is higher than we realize, and typically adversity, and trials are what push us beyond our scope.
I really enjoyed “FDR” by Jean Edward Smith, “The Rising Sun” by John Toland, and “Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” by William L Shirer.
