Author Updates
Hello everyone,
Last week, I made an update blog about my personal life. Now, I would like to update you on what I am doing as an author. Keep in mind, I love writing and being an author, but my current job as a teacher takes priority over writing. This ideology will most likely last unless my author career takes off. However, being an author and sharing what I write is something that is super important to me. Writing I'm writing in Word some story ideas and fleshing out drafts.
Works:Last installment to Poster series Editing Editing probably takes me the most amount of time with my books. How I personally edit is I'll look through the book with a onceover, after I'll see suggestions that Word or Google Docs suggests to me. After editing twice, I put my story in Grammarly and look at their suggestions. After I'm done editing with Grammarly, I will put the story into a voice generator to read to me. It is easier for me to hear if a sentence sounds weird when it is being read to me. After all of that editing, I will send it to an official editor or my mom.
Works:Sequel to The Assassin Trials - Grammarly editingStand-alone - Onceover Formatting After editing, I format the book to fit the needs of KDP, IngramSpark, and Draft2Digital. Once formatted correctly, I send it to a professional to change it to proper ebook formatting. I may also be waiting for covers if I feel I do not do it justice.
Works:First installment of new series Submitting Once the book is edited and formatted correctly, I start submitting to Agents. This is a long and lengthy process that has me met with a lot of rejection. Even after publication, I continue to send to agents.
Works:2 unpublished booksWantedThe Assassin Trials So while I have been slacking on doing some of my author duties, I have a lot going on. Let me know what you're most excited to see.
