When Clearing Isn’t Enough

When Saturn and Neptune were conjunct on February 20th, 2026, I took some time to sit still and listen. And a message came to me — as inspiration, perhaps — that I’d like to share here. It’s nothing new for me, and perhaps you, as well, however, I found the words to communicate with more clarity (thanks to Aries!) than ever before (if you prefer, watch my YouTube video) :
Many people come to energy work when life feels stuck-when the same patterns repeat, when environments feel heavy, or when something intangible seems to be working against them.
We often call this negative energy or lower consciousness. And while it may show up in our homes or on our land, it also lives in our relationships, our inner narratives, and the life situations that cause real and ongoing suffering.
Some people describe these experiences as entities or attachments -forces that seem to be working against them or causing harm.
In my work as a geomancer-using feng shui and dowsing practices-I’ve worked with many people who are experiencing difficult life situations and want help clearing negative energies and restoring positive chi.
And while this work can be powerful, I’ve come to recognize something important:
for most people, these are temporary solutions.
So why is that?
Often, it’s because the client-without realizing it-has handed their power to an external authority to “fix” the problem for them.
And there’s another layer here that’s more subtle and more complex.
I’ve noticed that when people strongly identify with these energies-when they become part of their personal story-that’s when they embed more deeply into the subconscious. They become woven into identity, meaning, and narrative.
As humans, we understandably fall into the victim role at times. Something or someone appears to be causing our suffering.
But alongside that truth, there is also a deeper layer.
At the soul level, many of these experiences are not punishments-they’re initiations. They are invitations toward awakening, even when they arrive through difficulty.
So why do we experience these lower or disruptive energies in the first place?
A few possibilities come to mind:
Frequency resonance — like attracts like. As electromagnetic beings, we unconsciously resonate with certain people, places, and situations.Karmic threads — unresolved patterns seeking completion or healing, whether from this lifetime or beyond.Projection and mirroring — something external reflecting something within us that wants to be seen.Growth and initiation — an experience designed to teach, or stretchOften, it’s not just one of these-but some combination of them.
Until we do that, any external clearing-no matter how effective-will eventually wear off. The energy returns, not to punish us, but to continue the lesson.
Another way to say this is: if an external authority clears the energy for us, but nothing changes internally, the experience will repeat-because it’s still serving a purpose.
So what actually works long-term?
Light.
I know this sounds awfully simplistic, and I don’t mean to imply that living in more light is a quick, easy solution. To the contrary, it requires much more self-awareness and reflection. But I do believe that too many of us are unhappy with the direction of our lives, and much of that is simply because we are not, and perhaps for many years have not, been listening to what makes our heart sing.
When I first learned about positive psychology, a term coined by Dr. Martin Seligman, I loved this counter-balance to traditional psychology. In positive psychology, when we focus on our gifts, our strengths, and what genuinely brings us alive, something profound happens. Our frequency shifts.
Joseph Campbell said it simply: follow your bliss.
This doesn’t mean I don’t believe in temporary healings. I do. They can be powerful wake-up calls-showing us where imbalance exists and reminding us that energy matters.
But lasting change comes when those clearings are paired with reflection, self-honesty, and a willingness to ask:
What in my life isn’t working anymore?
What is this experience asking me to reclaim?
Because our souls didn’t come here to avoid life-we came to experience it fully. To learn. To grow. And to share our gifts with the world in the way only we can.
As Plato said, a life unexamined is not worth living.
And I’ll add this: a life aligned-with purpose, passion, and presence-naturally becomes a field where light outshines shadow.
If you’re feeling called to explore this work, I offer both temporary energetic clearings and deeper, lasting pathways for transformation through my work with land, homes, and personal awakening. You can find more about that on my website.
