The magic system of Ert is loosely based on the C# programming language. Every living thing has a psyche that can be accessed, much like an interface in C#. Methods can be overridden and injected. You even receive errors such as InvalidCastException.

But even if you do not understand the basics of programming or C#, it is revealed in a way that is fully digestible to anyone. You do not need to read Kernighan and Ritchie in order to grasp the concepts :)
