I'm back!
Shew, life sure does get in the way sometimes, doesn't it? After the publication of Broken Road, I decided to take a break. Depression is a difficult thing to overcome. While on hiatus, I wrote a few short stories and Fan Fic for my WordPress blog. Then, I took a short story idea and turned it into a new novella!
Earlier this year, I published Tearing the Veil, and I must say, it turned out more fabulous than I imagined.
I've been blessed with an editor after years of trying to take that task on by myself and suffered many unfavorable reviews for my hard work. She became a much needed blessing from God during the Tearing the Veil process. She also helped to "revamp" my Redemption trilogy and they are now EXQUISITE.

Synopsis
Abandoned and left to succumb to the treachery of time, a desolate mansion, once beaming with life, faded into the depths of Georgian white oaks. However, its solitude was not in vain.
Many years after the caretaker left the home to ruin, a new owner took up residence within its eerie walls. Former Atlanta police detective Tara De Bouchon needed a new start away from everything that reminded her of her sister, who died at the hands of a murderer. She inherited a late 1800s plantation mansion from distant relatives she never knew existed.
Built by wealthy entrepreneur Andrew Quinn of Quinn Enterprises, the home held secrets from the past that would soon begin to reveal themselves. Shadows and silence stir a foreboding atmosphere, causing Tara to second-guess her decision to make this house her home. But as the sun rises and the house brightens, she forgives the home for its frightening demeanor and attempts to make it her own. However, a mysterious voice throws her entire world off kilter.
Ghostly voices of the past echo throughout the house, settling in one particular room…the den. But are the voices those of ghosts, or is something more extraordinary happening right before her eyes?
Tearing the Veil is the second novella by author Kellie Thacker and her seventh book. Check out Kellie's young adult novel series, Redemption, Sacrifice, and Grace, and don't forget her beautiful children's book titled Little Gideon.
