Perspective When Things Feel Heavy

One of the central ideas in my book When We’re Finished is that the right perspective can carry us through moments when everything feels heavier than it should.

It’s easy to get caught in the weight of daily pressures — the kind that quietly tighten budgets, scale back plans, and make the world feel a little smaller. But I keep returning to the same truth I wrote about in the book: our circumstances don’t get the final word.

I recently captured a moment that brought this idea into sharp focus, and I wrote a short reflection about it on my photography blog. If you’ve read When We’re Finished (or if the themes of resilience and steady perspective resonate with you), I think you’ll find it meaningful.
