The Space Between Pages

Time slips past while we’re staring at the screen. One draft ends and another begins before we notice the hours have changed shape or the world outside the window has quietly turned.

I keep learning that the best writing doesn’t come from pushing harder. It comes from lifting my head long enough to see what’s actually been sitting there all along.
