Just Peachy!

We were under a severe thunderstorm warning on Tuesday. They predicted 60 mph winds, golf ball sized hail, and even pop-up tornadoes. Yikes! I did a lot of praying that day. I’m so thankful our little corner of Ohio was spared. We had maybe thirty-five minutes of rumbly skies and just a splash of rain. Since then, our weather has been heavenly. Sunny skies and temps in the low 70s. Much improved from the high 90’s we’ve sweltered under for most of the month.

I haven’t seen much of my friend Sharon lately, and since it was a beautiful day for a mini road trip, we headed to Chillicothe for lunch. Chillicothe has been a mess for quite some time, so I have not been there lately. It will be nice when the construction is finished, but detours, driving around barrels and navigating around construction vehicles … definitely not my thing. Sharon doesn’t mind construction, so I was more than happy to ride in the passenger seat, lol. Of course, we can’t go to Chillicothe and not pop in and see what’s new at Ollies.

As the sign says, Good Stuff Cheap! I don’t always buy anything, but it’s always fun to look. Today I scored two books for just $3. each. Have any of my book friends read these?

Olive Garden is always a treat. Soup, salad and breadsticks are the perfect lunch in any weather!

After lunch we went next door to Hirsch Fruit Farm.

They have the cutest yard art outside!

Inside, they have just what you’d expect – farm grown fruits and veggies! I couldn’t resist buying some peaches. I’ll have to use them soon – these babies are ripe!

I see a pan of peach crisp in the very near future 😊
