I finished reading LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE by Celeste Ng. It was good, not great, for me. I liked the concept of how little lies by some and manipulations by others in two families create a lot of little fires that converge and explode. The characters, writing and plot threads were good, but the pacing fell off hard in a few places with unnecessary or clunky backstory narrated to the reader. This is common enough in this type of book, but it bugs me and detracts from my enjoyment.

I need a break for Literary type books, and cracked open LEGACY OF DESIRE: A DEMONIC BIRTHRIGHT NOVEL by Larissa Ione. I’m nearly a quarter of way in and so far, it’s just what I needed

I haven’t listened to my audiobook. I’ve been narrating my unexpectedly busy August with podcasts and that’s working for me right now.
