Author update - Book 3

It’s time for another writing update — and Book 3 is turning into quite the giant read!

The current word count stands at 146,669, and the manuscript is now around 750 pages long. Of course, that is all pre-editing, but I have just started Chapter 56, and the chapters are running slightly longer than those in my previous books because there is so much story to tell.

It will be interesting to see what happens once the editing begins — how much is tightened or removed, and whether other sections grow as I align all the different threads of the story.

In *The Cost of Souls: Resonance Magic*, we see a deeper, more holistic connection to magic and the natural world. Although there are still spells and incantations, the story begins exactly where Book 2 ended. As it progresses, we say goodbye to some familiar characters, while the heart of the new story gradually reveals itself. From there, the pace quickens and the focus draws tightly around the central characters.

With each book, I hope I have brought something different to the series — from the binding of souls, to a haunting from the void, and now, finally, stepping into the Echo.

If everything continues according to plan, I expect ARC copies of Book 3 to become available either towards the end of this year or at the beginning of next year. I hope some of you will sign up when I put out the call for ARC readers — I would love to have you join me for the next part of the story.

But before then, *The Cost of Souls: A Flicker in the Void* launches on 11th September, so there isn’t long to wait for the second part of Emily and Joseph’s story.

For anyone who has not yet started the series, the ebook edition of *The Cost of Souls: Magic, Mischief, and Unlikely Alliances* is still available at its special offer price on Amazon until 12th September. After that, it will return to its usual price.

Thank you, as always, to everyone who has read, reviewed or supported the books so far. It genuinely means a great deal to me.
