Well, what a week it has been!

I’ve been gearing up for the release of my new book, The Cost of Souls II: A Flicker in the Void, on 11th September. That has meant making sure the EPUB, PDF, and DOCX files are fully proofread, adjusting the margins, and uploading the final versions to Amazon and Draft2Digital so that everything is ready for release day.

In A Flicker in the Void, Emily returns home after spending time with her friend in the Florida Keys, unaware that something is already waiting for her inside her apartment.

Little things begin to happen, but as Emily is still adjusting to living alone, she dismisses them as things that can be easily explained. When her friend Jessica suggests that someone from Emily’s past might be trying to contact her, Emily turns to magic and asks the presence to reveal itself.

When the spell fails, she tries again, this time strengthening the connection.

Or so she thinks.

As events take a sinister turn, Emily once again finds herself in danger.

Meanwhile, Joseph has problems of his own. Warlocks and Halves are fighting, while outside Elders are attempting to muscle in on his territory. His warnings have been ignored, and now he must deal with them in the only way Joseph knows how.
