My 500th Blog Post Reaches A Milestone

This blog post represents my 500th to the Cracked Rearview Mirror which went live on December 9, 2010. I never thought I'd keep blogging for this long simply because I didn't believe I had that much to write about. But here I am still writing entries. I don't actually plan what topics to address. As a rule, I don't go negative, and my aim is to add value to my blogs for my readers.

Writing and reading occupy a lot of my attention. On the other hand, my staying fixed on just those two subjects makes for dull fare. Introducing some variety helps to enliven my blog content. I stick to those areas I know a little something about like film noir and baseball, but it's also fun to touch on whatever catches my fancy. Along with variety, brevity is also important. With that in mind, I'll sign off. My next blog post will be No. 501, and beyond that, who knows how many will follow?

Thank you for your interest.

Randy My blog was started on a whim a few years ago when I was checking some of my favorite writers. I came to one writer and I got the message that he'd shut the blog down. Beside it were the words Start your own free blog.

I did and am closing in on my 1600th post. Never had even considered it before that moment and am surprised I still write. I mostly touch on books and movies I like, with an occasional sports, political, or personal post.

1,600. That's a lot. Good for you. I bookmarked your blog. I don't usually comment unless I have something worthwhile to say (duh, I probably could say that better), but I do read the different blogs regularly. Thanks for the comments, Randy.
