It's been neat to read people's response to my question, but I realized it wasn't quite fair that I didn't start by sharing something about ME, so here are my three basics that I share with my students every semester:
1. I can read 'grade 1' Braille (alphabet and numbers, a few abbreviations). I have a Braille slate that I can write Braille -- it's a slow process but it works!
2. I touched the car that Bonnie and Clyde died in.
3. I was born with a club foot and had a cast on my leg the first year of my life.
Keep sharing things -- I find this question makes us realize we ALL have something unique about ourselves.
