One of the main aims of my writing was to gain reviews that enjoyed the novel. The novel has to be bought to be reviewed but from the very beginning I was more interested in people enjoying the novel. Not simply buying it for the sake of buying it.
A very peculiar situation developed with my wife too where she obviously knew about the novel being written but never actually bothered to read it. This has now traveled full circle as now she has read it she is demanding the second in the series asap!
A couple of reviews from people i have never met have been very positive too, in our field of chosen work it is always important that enthusiasm never wanes. Getting positive reviews is a massive push to continue to pursue that story which needs to be told.
