Reviewers - they can be a fickle bunch

So, I'm new to this, I've never written a blog and have never kept a diary, I even struggle to put updates on faceache, I mean facebook but here goes and we'll wait for the inevitable.

I have been getting a lot of positive reviews lately from my readers, and all authors like a kind review, we are after all fragile creatures and I really appreciate it when readers take the time to leave a review...
HOWEVER, what I don't get is why some readers insist on reading my stories and then complaining about how some of the key elements of the story went against everything they like in a story? All my titles contain disclaimers letting the potential reader know in advance what they're getting if they read my story (its getting confusing to me as well now, I'll put it down to the very nice bottle of red wine I've just drank and the lateness of the hour).
When a reviewer leaves a poor review based on nothing other than it just not being their sort of story my mind boggles; I would never leave a review for a Harry Potter novel (as I just don't like him, or his two cocky mates) as this would be unfair to the author and other potential readers.
NOTE: I have no problem if the reviewer reads my story and tells me that its poorly written with terrible grammar and no characterisation (thankfully this hasn't happened yet) but to leave a stinker of a review because this character and that character did something "gross" boggles my poor little brain; don't read what you're obviously not in to....okay mini-rant over.
