Unsure if he will find his friend, Ratio decides to take this chance and go it alone.  He wants to get out from Valkan shadow once and for all. "Time to do it my own way, I don’t need Valkan to tell me what to do! “He says out loud. He decides to change his path and goes in a totally different direction than what they were heading in." I don’t have to follow his path now he isn't here! “Ratio starts to feel like he can do anything since he has a "Valkan sword" as well as his own. He was forgetting that only Valkan can wield his sword and harness its true energy. Always hearing from Valkan how easy he is to be misled and finally being sick and tired of reminded to always wear his blindfold, Ratio scoffs and decides to take it off and trust what his own eye see for once.

As he walks along the path, he notices things seem to get darker and even gloomier. He brushes it aside, He senses being more heightened and needing to adjust his senses too surroundings again. Thinking of nothing but moving shadows and noises from behind him Ratio moves on but on edge trying to act as strong as his friend but his insides were betraying him. Everything around him twists and bends changing his own reality into a nightmare. Things he thinks is stable seem to crumble in his hand and things that he thought were surreal seem to be there before him Ratio has never been known to trust what he sees and now faces his ultimate test of faith in his own ability of judgment, without his blindfold he reaches down to pick up what he thinks is a piece of fruit that would help fight his hunger. Ratio decides to take a bite to satiate his hunger and just at that moment he drops it his knees as he sees what he can’t believe is real or not. A mocking voice laughs at him saying “Foolish mortal, you think you can compete with me ha-ha" then fades to the mist as fast as it came.

Looking around him, he doesn't see anything; he doesn’t understand where the voice came from and what it meant. He decides to keep not trust anything now. Ratio moves on, hungrier but not wanting to try to eat, his vision blurring with each step. His sense of reality is demising with each movement of his young body. Everything around him seems to move and shift like moving shadows... Echoes mock him, and seem to laugh, but when he looks, nothing is there. "Oh crap, what is this place he says to himself?" Still wondering if he should follow his best friend's advice and put his blindfold on or not, Ratio still decides against it. He moves along the crack ground with each sound seeming to be louder and louder. Whispers dance around him, teasing him, and showing him things he has never seen before. Valleys of green, lush plants and trees with fruits of every kind are everywhere. He recalls what happened last time, but Ratio is starving while the whispers keeping telling him to eat and trust himself.  He rushes forward and picks some tropical fruit from the trees, and berries off of the bushes then he sits down and starts eating. As he eats, Ratio suddenly finds himself feeling drowsy as a long black snake slithers up and looks him in the eye. The snake snickers, ministering at him, as he slithers away leaving saying "enjoy your dreams Ratio. He he..."

As I sat on the bank drinking the water a faint voice calls to me " this is not who you truly are “She looks around in wonderment, confused and dazed not knowing what the voice meant “This is who I am it? I have always been like this how can I be anything else?" She thinks to herself as her sight blur a figure unlike she has ever seen slowly fades into the mist. A tall figure with dark black hair over his eyes with a mark on his forehead slowly approaches with a charming smile "Well hello there, can I be any help" oh I am not sure, where I am or what this place is?" looking deep into his eyes I feels myself being drawn into them as embody slumps this mysterious figure picks me up and disappears with into the mist. Waking briefly I barely see a desolate and barren place where lightning is heard and seen almost all the time. My eyes still slightly ajar looks up into his pure white entrancing eyes "where are you taking me?" she says but all he does is puts a finger on her lips and says "shush don't worry for now" As i fall back into unconsciousness" As he walks with her in his arms the fog and mist just part as he approaches... Kurai can’t seem to stop looking down at her "why is this stranger affecting me so , I am in control of everything around here but for this strange reason I feel so drawn to her beauty and strength, no impossible I am Kurai and this is my domain" he says to himself.

As I sleeps the surrounding and even certain things about Kurai change. His horns and wings disappear and a mark appears on his left shoulder... His house that was gloomy and dreary, dank and dank smelt like sulfur has also changed into a pleasant scent of roses in the room... Days pass into nights without her even noticing, surrounds grow into a beautiful garden full of roses with a small inlet with a water fall behind it. Kurai stands watch to make sure she is looked after but cannot understand why he feels drawn to her. "She is nothing to me just some stranger who has wandered into my domain. Bah “he says to himself. “Why won’t she wake up so i can find who she is and what she is doing here? He paces anxiously then hears a murmur of a whisper as he moves closer to her she reaches out without realizing and takes his hand and brings him down to her while she sleeps so he is beside her with his arms around her. For someone as Kurai this is new and he is out of his element but goes along with it. "Uggh i dont like this I am so nervous I am not in control" He suddenly feels himself feeling drowsy and falls into slumber. Days pass into nights without her even noticing, around the house and a garden grows full of beautiful roses with a small inlet with a water fall behind it. He struggles to get free as he is feeling so uncomfortable but then he thinks i can make her think i love her “to him as he grins silently. Oblivious to his diabolical plan for her, Gabriella sleeps on .Kurai somehow works on her dreams and manages to make it seem they are so at ease with each other.

As the sun first rays hit the room where I am sleeping I feels its warmth and am shocked to see the stranger beside her... She jumps from the bred in shock and surprise looks around at her surroundings "how did I get here?' she asks looking bewilderment and amazed. He smiles saying “I carried you when you passed out. You have been here for three days now." moving back a step saying that’s impossible... what this is place... who are you?" I ask with an uncertain look and voice... He smiles and says this is my home and you’re in my domain now and you are safe trust me" He smiles to her saying “I assure you my dear you are completely safe here.

He looks at her and takes her by the hand and asks " can you tell me your name my dear so I know what to call you" Gabrielle thinks to herself and wonders " my name is ... I can’t seem to remember for some reason" unbeknown to her while she was in the mist everything about her, her name, her past was slowly being replaced with shadows and mists. “Well now we can’t have you nameless, can we Kurai says " tell me what you think of the name Cari? “Gabriella thinks and nods. As she looks around she catches a scent of roses nearby "hmm they smell so nice, but there is a fragrance hasn’t smelt ever before" she comments as she wanders about feeling and examining her new surroundings she feels the softest whisper and a touch of a feather on her shoulder, she turns to see Kura standing behind her." I didn’t hear you come up behind me “she looks at the type of furniture and how they seem oddly out of time and place.

She ventures outside to where she sees all sorts of different varieties of roses known to grow and some that are never been seen...Care hears the gently splashing of the water fall and heads towards the crystal water of the inlet behind the his strange looking house She looks down at her tattered and torn out fit and wishes she could bath in the warm water and feel clean again.. Kura walks over with a towel and a new garment for her to wear “why not bathe and feel clean again my dear " he says putting the garments and towel on the green grassy bank and then leaves her to have privacy as she bathes in the water fall... While she bathes in the water and washes her hair with the berries and rinses herself under the waterfall enjoying herself, unknowing starts to hum a soft tune even Kuria can hear from inside his house. As the strange hypnotic tune wafts through the air and mixes with the sun’s rays it catches him unaware for a moment and he loses his concentration on his plan for her. Unbeknown to Cari Kurai is watching from the window beguiled at her beauty and innocence.....He has trouble getting the hypnotic tune out if his head and is drawn to the waterfall when she is unaware of his presence he quietly announces himself and asks if she minds if he joins her in the warm waters

As Valkan comes through the other side of the vortex he looks for his friends but can’t see or hear him anywhere... “this is like nothing I have seen before" he says out loud to him. he looks down to find his sword is missing "oh that’s just great now I don’t have my sword I am defenseless in a place I have never been before and I have no clue what is out there" He looks around his surroundings , things look so different to him as they twist and turn with each breath he takes. His senses try cope with this new environment. The stench of decaying trees and putrid stench of a river of sulphur makes him cough and start gagging, he starts vomiting up from the vileness of everything around him. With the rotting atmosphere every time he touches something Valkan doubles over with pain the mist slowly works its inside his young virile body but something else much more stronger forces it out of him and he is able to keep going for now. Although slightly weakened from the mist and its affects he makes the effort to move on. Each step brings pain and hunger to his body but Valkan heart is stronger and he knows he must continue even if he doesn’t understand why or how come right now. He wonders what has become of his best friend and his own sword "that young fool better not try to use it" he says out loud to himself.

As the serpent slithers away from Ratio, his eyes start to close and falls into a deep slumber, where dreams follow after another all linking him to Valkans words about how inferior he is to his best friend... Ratio tosses and turns thinking to him even in dreams and slumber I can’t escape his stupid attitude and here I am saving his precious sword just for him. As he drifts back into slumber Ratio dreams of being able to wield the lightning blade itself and harness all of its power for him.

His dream starts out as he is in a clear blue lake holding the blade and swinging it around. For a split second he thinks he hears a voice a whisper of woman's reaching out to him and only him." This is the power of the blade “he says to himself. Feeling as though nothing can touch him now and thinking he understands the true power of Valkans blade as he wakes he cedes to try and wield it and use it for the first time ever. But unbeknown to him the blade can only be used by one with a true heart and pure soul and so when Ratio starts to swing the opposite starts to happen for him, things shoot out at him and try and tempt and corrupt and as he travels along it gets worse and worse... darker and darker until he sees a light and heads for sighing thinking it’s over.

He comes across two guys one with an eye patch over one and a dark broody guy with some strange looking markings on his body. As he approaches them they turn to each other and grin. Not knowing who what has set these two people in his path he continues and walks up to them and greets them. They nod and eye is blindfold and sword saying how it is a very interesting blade, challenging him to a two on one duel saying if he loses he hands over his blindfold, Ratio thinking how strange it is not to want the blade but agrees to the duel thinking he has the power behind him so he can’t lose They nod and eye is blindfold and sword saying how it is a very interesting blade, challenging him to a two on one duel saying if he loses he hands over his blindfold, Ratio thinking how strange it is not to want the blade but agrees to the duel thinking he has the power behind him so he can’t lose , Ratio accepts their challenge.. The two strangers mock him by bowing as they draw their own blades for a time Ratio feels he is holding his own but has no idea that the mist and the sword itself is drawing his strength away and he starts feeling weak and the other two hit him time and again, Ratio can’t understand why this is happening "I have the power of the blade why am I losing .. This isn’t happening," Blow after blow he feels it more and more until he finally drops his sword and falls over. The two ominous and sinister looking men walk over to him as he slumps holding his sides and introduce themselves as they laugh "my name is Nikoli Kirkland and this is a friend of mine Cutter we believe you have something for us Mr. Ratio Anchuu"

He can’t figure out how they know his name and all about hum. "Don’t try to figure us out or how we know about you just accept you lost and hand it over" He growls throwing blindfold at them. “Here I don’t know why you want this and not the sword but have it, I don’t need it anyway" Ratio says coughing up a bit of blood. Still not even realizing it is all three his blindfold being off, using the sword and being in the mist that is making him feel like this. He drags himself and uses the sword as a leaning stick to help him walk. Just as he is following a track he gets a weird feeling " That little know it all , Ratio has tried to use my blade and it has weakened its power now " Valkan cannot believe his own friend would do this to him, "I bet he hasn’t been wearing his blindfold either " he says shaking his head. Valkan walks along and hears something calling to him in a snickering cruel tone "you have lost already Valkan Alexander, now how do plan on winning this battle" Valkan screams are heard across the land ' I KNOW YOU AND I WILL WIN WITH OR WITHOUT MY BLADE “The sinister voice mocks him back just by laughing .
