I have just finished reading historical romance The Pirates Wife by Lynelle Clark
although not one for historical romacnes myself  there were a few parts I did like

Set in the sixteen hundreds when pirates were plenty and plundered the sea
Rosa-lee and her mother's journey I found was very similiar ...
The way the author uses language of the time and describes this was well done
I was let down somewhat by how she took the same story line as her mother did

I did enjoy how their forbidden passion and love grew from unspoken glances ,
to their  nights filled with passion it was very well described so that the reader could almost feel
what she was feeling..
I liked the twist in the end as well it was well done..

But I did feel the story in whole was a bit predictable for me...
People who do enjoy this type of setting and genre will love it though
