Author JJ Brown is here with me today to talk about fracking. Some people think this is the wave of the future for "clean gas." Others see this as a tsunami of environmental disasters crashing toward us. Today, Jennifer will tell us more about fracking and I will provide a review of her latest book on the topic, BRINDLE24, which also carries a modern Romeo and Juliet story.
My latest novel Brindle 24 is about a family on the last day in the life of a town during an ecologic apocalypse. The setting is a rural area similar to where I grew up, in upstate New York. The story follows a nuclear family and their neighbors living close to a gas drilling site that’s plagued by leaking flammable and explosive gasses. I felt compelled to write this story because the decision of whether we will “frack” the world around us for gas, or not, is still open for debate. Debate it we should, in every way possible. Let me explain why.
