Kindle loaded - ready to go

I've spent the last hour loading up my Kindle with books for holiday reading. I'm so excited because I'm travelling to Australia for the first time to visit relations. I can't wait to leave behind last week's snow and today's rain! However I am feeling somewhat daunted by the prospect of such a long plane journey (from the UK), but on the other hand looking forward to having a good excuse to bury my nose in a book for hours on end.
So, what have I downloaded?
My 'big read' is the eagerly anticipated latest by Kate Atkinson'Life after Life'. The difficulty with this one will be resisting it until I'm on the plane.
The Crime of Miss Oyster Brown and Other Stories I'm not a huge fan of short stories (you just get absorbed and it's all over) but I am a great fan of Peter Lovesey, especially his Diamond detective novels.
Another detective novel is Peter Robinson 'Playing with Fire' as I've read and enjoyed some of his other DCI Banks' novels.
I've downloaded Little Face
which someone in The Perks of Being a Bookworm group is reading and I thought I might also like.
The Wedding Officer: A Novel of Culinary Seduction was recommended to me by Goodreads. I love Joanne Harris' Chocolat and sequels and this sounds similar in tone.
I hardly know how to admit that I've never read The Hobbit although I read The Lord of the Rings way back in the 1970s and again more recently. Anyway time to put that omission right.
I thought I'd give The Prophet Motive a try as I enjoyed 'Frame-Up' by the same author.
And my final download was No Going Back. Lyndon Stacey's books are light reads but entertaining.
I've also got a couple of paperbacks to hand in case I run out of battery, including a Jeeves & Wooster (always make me smile).
So there I go - have books, will fly!
