The Search
Troubled days can lead to a search. Often, without knowing what to search for or maybe even knowing that we are searching at all, we find ourselves longing for something to fill the emptiness.
Quote from Unconditionally
Some days are more filled with challenges than others. Regardless of what we have experienced in the past, or are experiencing at the moment, we seem to have a long for something else. Sometimes we do know what it is, sometimes we don’t. Sometimes it’s an achievable goal, sometimes it’s not. Sometimes it’s a wonderful dream that helps you through the days by giving you more energy and inspiration, sometimes it’s a painful escape that drains you and make you stuck in the mud. Awareness of your take on this can make your days easier. It can lead to a mud-free walk on your unique path.
When we feel emptiness in life, when we feel there is something missing, we start searching for the magical thing that can provide less emptiness and less longing. We have a tendency of focus that search in the outer world. The very best start would be to focus on why we feel empty inside. A search should always start within ourselves. What is it that make you feel the way you do? What is it that you feel the emptiness? What is it that you long for?
By concentrating on your inside, you become aware wether the search is for your benefit, or of a character that won’t help you to step out of the mud. Asking the difficult questions are essential, as always – and remember to include ‘for the sake of what’. That will give you the insight you are searching for.
