Any Mort Castle fans who can answer this?

I'm trying to remember the title of a fantasy/horror short story by Mort Castle. "Miss Hezeltine's Miracle" or something like that?

I had an audio recording of it, downloaded from a now defunct site where I can't look it up. Amazon and Google searches haven't yielded an answer.

Does anyone know the correct title and spelling? (Hesseltine? Haseltine?)

Mortcastle Yeah, the story is Miss Hazeltine's Miracle. You downloaded it at sniplits.com, a really good site--gone now, alas.

It's part of a group of short short stories, "Healers Trio," which can be found in my new collection, NEW MOON ON THE WATER, from Dark Regions Press. Hope to be able to say the book is a Bram Stoker award winner, but for now, it's just a nominee.

Thanks for your interest.

Hi Mort,
Thanks for replying! Yes, that's the story I was after. It's one of the best dark stories I've ever read. The good/evil twist took me by surprise, and at the same time made me think that I should have seen it coming. I keep thinking about how I would react in this situation, faced with this dilemma. Disturbing!
