The duplex where my wife and I live receive a monthly local newspaper. It is free, I assume paid for by ads. I decided that with my newest book Andrew and the Pirate Cove being finished and I believe a work worth reading I would at least make an effort to reach out to them and see if they would have any interest in profiling a local author. I did not expect an answer, honestly I figured if I did get an answer it would be a polite no. However I got a fast response telling me it sounds like a great idea and that she would touch base with me next week. Hopefully this will get me and my book a bit of ink and perhaps serve to help launch my writing career.
