Rusty Trimble has been writing since he has been old enough to hold a pencil. His earliest efforts to create stories date back to his first computer in 1981 when he tried to write his own "Choose your own Adventure"-type games, including "Escape from the Principal". He began his first foray into a writing career at the age of 14 during his English class in high school with the ill-fated "30 tales of Terror" which was a 45 page handwritten series of 1-1&1/2 page stories in which he tried to turn his love of The Twilight Zone into his own creations.

He began writing in earnest in 2009 when his son Andrew was diagnosed with Autism, first illustrating books featuring his young son as the primary character, his first book being "Andrew's Great Tr Rusty Trimble has been writing since he has been old enough to hold a pencil. He began writing in earnest in 2009 when his son Andrew was diagnosed with Autism, first illustrating books featuring his young son as the primary character, his first book being "Andrew's Great Train Adventure" and then shifting to chapter books as his son entered grade school.

Overall, Rusty has written a total of 15 illustrated books and novels combined. His currently published and available works are The Andrew Chronicles Books 1 and 2 ("Andrew and the Pirate Cove" and "The Revenge of Jack Frost", book 3 is currently in progress) and Book 1 of The Andrew Teen Chronicles which was released June of 2015 titled "The Fun House Mystery Adventure" (Book two "Pyramids of Doom" is in the planning stages). These books are available through amazon.com under the name R. D. Trimble and are published through Books You Can Trust Publishing (booksyoucantrustpublishing.com).

He is also in the process of self-publishing the first book in the Strange Odyssey series, "Crash of the Cyrano" also for young adult readers and should be available sometime in August of 2015. All of these books are based on the classic computer games by Scott Adams who essentially created the home computer gaming market, has recently released a new game called The Inheritance (at www.msadams.com) which will be a future R. D. Trimble novel and is a close friend of the author.

As the father of an Autistic child, he pledges 50% of all net profits of The Andrew Chronicles to Autism charities while 50% of all net profits from
The Andrew Teen Chronicles go to stopcaidnow.org, an organization that seeks to reduce suffering and improve the quality of life for children afflicted with a number of illnesses and/or disorders.

Rusty lives in San Diego with his two sons Andrew and Tyler and his wife Nickcole. When he is not writing and being a dad and husband, he enjoys playing softball, reading, and playing the occasional commodore 64 game. ...more
