Book 2 of Dreamweaver progress

I wasn't sure if I would even continue with the Dreamweaver Chronicles since I got such small results with Book 1, but a long time ago I decided that if one person enjoys my work enough to want to read more, that I would continue. A day came, a few weeks ago, when someone asked me how far book 2 was and when it would be available. I had done a few pages a long time ago but continued with other projects after that. Since then I have had fun getting reacquainted with my characters, remember exciting things I had in store and going on a whole new journey with old companions and friends. Currently on chapter 6 of draft 1, I am moving along at a rather slow but steady pace and hope to see Book 2 out in a little while.

Kevin Futers I had a similar problem with The Adventures of the Billy Goats Gruff, which I deliberately wrote as a complete book. I have outlines for two further books with the same characters, but each one moving further away from the world of magic and trolls that they have been in contact with. I have also sketched out some chapters in narrative outline, but the rest of the books are unformed, as I have moved on to other projects.

That should be very interesting Kevin - are you planning on publishing them at some stage?

Kevin Futers It is on my to do list, but quite low down for now. My current focus is on a YA book looking at an apocalyptic setting, surviving without adults.

My wife tells me that it has been done before, but as there are only supposed to be seven stories in the world, what hasn't? The key is to write the story in a new and interesting way and to be true to your own creativity.

Nicua Should be interesting Kevin. When are you hoping to publish?

Kevin Futers Three chapters down, stalled on fourth, but should be back on track soon.

Just had some bad news on my completed manuscript, "The Lord's Poet"(historical fiction). My agent has stopped doing agency work on fiction, so I'm back on my own to find a publisher.

Nicua I know how that feels, I am currently writing a book that I skip sections because I am so keen to fill in the next. :-)
oh no, that is so bad. :-( I'm sorry, I really hope you get a publisher soon - what's the historical fiction about?
