The big luchador main attraction the night I went to see Lucha Libre in Mexico City was Mistico, but for me it was all about Valiente.

Short, boxy, and kind of chubby, this guy was an amazing acrobat who had 200 miles of personality packed into a body that was less than two meters.

Right as Mistico was fouling out, Valiente did a stumping jump straight up to the middle of the ropes, then another leap taking him to the top of the ropes, then a back flip off the top rope to land on the head of some Australian giant with bad peeky cheeky down on the floor. More than anything, he reminded me of Puck, the unfortunately named Canadian superhero in Alpha Flight.
