Bitter Memories: A Memoir of Heartache & Survival delves into my early life. The names were changed to protect the innocent, and the guilty, but the events are factual.As horrifying as it is, this was my life!
Kidnapped by my father at age three, I then lived a life on the run, hungry, abused and terrified for six long years. Bitter Memories is an insightful journey into the world of extreme child abuse, but it also shows my will to survive.
In order to expose the whole truth about child abuse I did not "skirt around" what happened to me. The language is raw, however, these were words I heard on a daily basis. These are words other survivors of child abuse can identify with since they heard many, if not all, of the same words from their abusers.
Written from the heart, my life story is one that some people might find threatening. My commitment to honesty may expose their own fears; their own imperfections.

Drowning In Memories, the story my fans have been waiting for, is the sequel that continues other parts of my life., written in two parts, with a bonus story at the end.
Part One: takes you through going to live with my uncle, the cop, and his heavy-handed wife, then moves on to after I left home.
Part Two: tells about my mother's sister, who I ended up living with and running away from, and of a time I literally ran from an abusive husband with nothing but my Siamese cat and what clothes I could fit into a paper sack, finding out I was happier than I'd ever been in my life. I also talk about my big brother who I'd never met in Book One.
The bonus story is a tribute to a very special and wonderful man who brought me back from a never-ending abyss of pain and sorrow, giving me hope to go on. This man changed the direction of my life.
Cutter's Revenge, the last in this series, is very little truth mixed with crime fiction to complete the series in a way I wanted my story to end. By turning tragedy into a fantastic, exciting read, I get my revenge toward some who hurt me, while my readers also get a bit of revenge for themselves.

In response to the comment "What do you have to say about the language". It is so typical of those that were never abused to become upset with the victim when they relay their abuse as it happened. The abuse was also the language used to the child at the time. You can not put a pretty bow on abuse and expect it to be understood. If the language was offensive to you as an adult, how do you think a child felt going through this year after year. People need to stop complaining to the victims who finally use their voice and start standing beside the victim. If you were in a crowd and someone used profanity in front of your child, I assure you you would speak up. Victims don't have that luxury. Pedophiles exist because people help them to hide in plain site. I applaude Sue for using her voice that was silenced for so long. That voice is helping her to heal, helping victims of past abuse and hopefully helping prevent future abuse. There is nothing pretty or sweet about abuse. People who have not been abused are shocked and do not want to believe the depth of abuse...until they are touched by it. Once a pedophile always a pedophile. They are your husbands, fathers, priests, coaches and neighbors. Instead of complaining why not learn something. I am sorry that the Author even had to respond to that question. Everyday victims suffer ridicule from people. Ridicule which adds to their suffering. Shame on you for even asking that question. Thank you, Sue, for your courage.

I hope in time more people will realize this and stop ridiculing and criticizing the ones who have been abused. It's hard to come forward and talk about our abuse, but it's something that needs to be talked more about.
It's time for everyone to face the fact that child abuse does exist. Child abuse is a national epidemic, and it is not going to stop as long as non-believers continue to say things that prevent others from coming forward.
