YO YO YO!

I thought I should post a little bit about myself. I was going to post things about self-publishing that irk me but I think it's too early in the game to start ranting.

So, about me. I grew up in Flint, MI. Always loved to read was interested in writing, but my first love was music.

That didn't work out (classical violinist, incredible demanding, stingy on the satisfying) and I ended up changing to English. Part of the English was taking an intro to creative writing.

I loved that class so much I took it twice with the same teacher (I clearly have only myself to blame for my massive amounts of student loan debt).

Then I added Creative Writing as double major, ran out of financial aid, decided to just focus on Writing and dropped the English.

Next came me applying to two schools unique low-residency schools for my MMA. I only applied for two, and only got rejected from...two.

One of the rejections letters suggested I "take some college courses", which really took the cake SINCE on my application I listed my Bachelor's degree, #facepalm.

Then I just wrote the rest of it myself, and did all the extras I somehow never realized were part of "writing a book process" until they needed to be done (layout, editing, cover design, publishing battle plan).

And that catches us up to speed with the present.

Also, as far as non-writing related things go, I really love cheese sticks, blueberries, reading, guinea pigs & dogs. I work as a lame-o banker by day and then by night I lead an exhilarating life of writing, and bad reality tv-shows, with a little television gold sprinkled in too (Defiance, Downton Abbey & The Walking Dead).
